Chris Gorman
Thanks for visiting; I feel like since concrete and asphalt jobs cost a lot of money so it might be worth reading a bit about who you are trusting with your projects.
This is Chris Gorman I was born in ‘82. I love my wife Adrienne, my daughter Lydia, and son Asher.
I have loved building for as long as I remember. I have memories of stacking blocks, assembling erector sets, making pinewood derby cars, piecing together a (scrap wood) backstop to pitch against, crafting a (scrap wood) replacement shed door. I specifically remember working on these as a kid before I really knew how. I just enjoyed it. Sometimes it took a few tries but I loved learning from my mistakes and striving to improve.
Now, I am older and have had training and experience in doing what I love to do. Since I love working outside feeling close to nature, I'm fortunate to now have vast knowledge, skills, and passion particularly in concrete and asphalt work.
Not only is concrete and asphalt a realistic need that is part of our infrastructure; it can also be fun and colorful. For example, last year ole and I tested our experience making tables out of modified concrete mix. We had some challenges early on but now we have it down and they look awesome. It’s so refreshing to continually learn, apply what we learn; then have the opportunity to see, touch and feel the effort put in. When I am able to tie that with quality time with great people, I feel blessed. I wouldn’t say it emotional to me but there often seems to be the simple stages in the building process that resemble life. You must put in the effort, prepare your plan, work, pay attention, adapt if needed, possibly some humbling times, more work, and then the harvest. I love it!
Although my craft has kept me working without pause even though tough economic times, for me it came with some quirks. Like when I first got the fever for it I and I couldn’t help but want to tell my wife about what seemed like every other parking lot we pulled in. I love my wife Adrienne. She is great, but she was getting pretty annoyed hearing about “work”. I get it. Now, I talk about the job less and she asks me about the job more. Life is good. Some things need time to “set”. It’s not always my/our time.
For years I have been driven to help business grow and be part of a team. I love setting healthy goals, then meeting or exceeding them without jeopardizing integrity. I did well working for other people and built great relationships that I will not forget.
I am glad for the opportunity to live in a country where I have the chance to go out on a limb and trust in my skills and hard work to do what I enjoy while having a say in what that looks like.
Thanks for your time,
Chris G.
